KEY FEATURES:

Non-destructive analysis. X-ray enables non-destructive analysis which facilitates safe handling and storage of batteries prior to processing.

Artificial Intelligence assisted identification and sorting. BATTERAY uses state-of-the-art technology to identify batteries and sort them correctly according to the battery type using air jets.

Identification of undefined batteries. Nowadays undefined batteries have to be disposed of in landfills thus increasing the amount of hazardous waste. BATTERAY enables collectors and recyclers to sort efficiently mixed streams of batteries including undefined ones what is unachievable for optical systems.

Recognition of counterfeit batteries. A lot of counterfeit batteries, fake named brand batteries and rewrapped batteries have invaded the market. It is crucial to determine what exact kind of battery it is to recycle it properly.

Classification of batteries into 5 groups. BATTERAY sorts the batteries according to chemical composition to maximize the efficiency of recycling process. In the base version BATTERAY sorts batteries into: Alkaline, Zinc Carbon, Nickel Cadmium, Nickel Manganese and primary Lithium. 

Separation 80% of the stream concerning size. BATTERAY sorts all cylindrical batteries up to D size and all 9V batteries.
